Knowledge Repository Launch

We are excited to launch the Ellomas Knowledge Repository—a dedicated space for deep technical dives, engineering standards, and industry reports.

Knowledge Repository Launch

Today we’re launching something we’ve wanted to build for a long time: an open knowledge repository where we publish the technical thinking behind how we design, build, and operate systems.

You’ll find three types of content here:

  • Articles that teach engineering fundamentals with real code and real trade-offs
  • News covering our technology decisions and industry observations
  • Reports with research and analysis on infrastructure patterns across industries we work in

Why an Agency Publishes Its Thinking

There’s a reasonable question here: if Ellomas is a consultancy that helps teams build better systems, why would we publish the knowledge we get paid to apply?

The answer is straightforward.

Trust is built through transparency. When a prospective client reads our article on how concurrency models work across Go, Node.js, and C#, they’re not just learning about threads and goroutines. They’re seeing how we think. They’re evaluating whether our engineering judgment matches what they need. That’s a better signal than any sales deck.

Teaching sharpens the teacher. Writing a technical article forces you to be precise. You can’t hide behind jargon when you’re explaining a concept from scratch. Every article we publish goes through the same rigor we apply to client work: is this actually correct? Does the code compile? Would a senior engineer find this useful, not just a beginner?

The real work isn’t in the knowledge. It’s in the application. Knowing how a B-tree index works doesn’t mean you can diagnose why a production query takes 8 seconds under load. Understanding payment reconciliation in theory doesn’t mean you can build a ledger that survives edge cases at scale. The gap between knowledge and applied engineering judgment is where our work lives.

What to Expect

We’re starting with the topics closest to our daily work:

  • Concurrency and systems design across the languages we use in production
  • Payment infrastructure and the mechanics of moving money reliably
  • Database performance and the indexing strategies that actually matter
  • API design principles for systems that need to evolve without breaking
  • Cloud infrastructure patterns for teams that need to ship safely

Each piece follows the same format: start with the fundamental concept, build up to the real-world application, include working code, and link to authoritative references so readers can go deeper on their own.

We’re not interested in content marketing. There are no gated PDFs, no lead capture forms between you and the content. If the writing is good enough, the right people will find us.

Built in the Open

The content on this site is authored by engineers at Ellomas. We write about what we actually build and what we’ve actually seen go wrong. If you spot an error, a broken link, or a better way to explain something, we want to hear about it.

You can reach us at ellomas.com/contact or through our GitHub.
